A Little Story

This is a story about four people named Everbody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.

There was an important job to be done, and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.

Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.

Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.

Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.

It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

The Moral to this Story?

Even if you think you're Nobody, You and God togather can do anything that Somebody, Anybody, and Everybody should be doing but won't.

HANDS

Alone in the darkness, I cannot see

Bitter cold and blackness surrounds me

I am, I know not where

Lost in this darkness that is everywhere.

I hear them, those demons of darkness

Slowly creeping in on me

With growls and moans they call out to me.

Afraid, I’m running I know not where

Running – stumbling – falling

Those demons of darkness want to devour me

Trembling, stripped and naked I cry out, I plead.

Take me from this hell of darkness, please!

Through the veil of darkness a pair of hands

All aglow, reach out to me. Those hands

Staying just on the edge of darkness,

Keep reaching out to me.

No face do I see

Just those warm hands reaching out to me.

I’m afraid, of what I know not

Feet unmoving I stretch to reach

Those hands reaching out to me.

I stretch – I fall!

Face down I cry, for how long I know not

Then I hear them, those demons of darkness

As they slowly move in on me

Laughing – taunting

With tear stained eyes I look to see

If those hands had abandoned me

Still no face can I see

Only those hands reaching out to me

I run – I stumble – I fall

Into the embracing warmth

Of those nailed scared hands

That were still reaching out to me!

SOMEONE I CANNOT SEE

When I awaken to the first rays of the sun so bright

To when I lay my head to rest under stars of night

Someone is there I cannot see,

Keeping watch over me.

When there is no money to pay the rent

And no food for the table

All that is needed is sent

Someone is there I cannot see

Taking care of me.

When the temptation seems great

The tribulation too hard

Loneliness and sorrow adds to the weight

Someone is there I cannot see

To carry the load for me.

Like the soft breeze I cannot see

Yet I feel it touching me

Someone great is there I cannot see

Moving deep with in me.

Someone is there I cannot see

Staying very close to me.

Conviction vs. Guilt

God convicts our hearts for a purpose

so we know something is wrong

to give us the strength to not do that anymore

so we can walk the walk he has called us for

we can be raised up from conviction

satan brings guilt

he likes to remind us of our mistakes to keep us down

so we won't reach the potential God has for us

I rebuke guilt

I thank God for conviction! ! !
