A Little Story
This is a story about four people named Everbody, Somebody,
Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done, and Everybody
was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's
job.
Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized
that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody
did what Anybody could have done.
The Moral to this Story?
Even if you think you're Nobody, You and God togather
can do anything that Somebody, Anybody, and Everybody should be doing but won't.
HANDS
Alone in the darkness, I cannot see
Bitter cold and blackness surrounds me
I am, I know not where
Lost in this darkness that is everywhere.
I hear them, those demons of darkness
Slowly creeping in on me
With growls and moans they call out to me.
Afraid, I’m running I know not where
Running – stumbling – falling
Those demons of darkness want to devour me
Trembling, stripped and naked I cry out, I plead.
Take me from this hell of darkness, please!
Through the veil of darkness a pair of hands
All aglow, reach out to me. Those hands
Staying just on the edge of darkness,
Keep reaching out to me.
No face do I see
Just those warm hands reaching out to me.
I’m afraid, of what I know not
Feet unmoving I stretch to reach
Those hands reaching out to me.
I stretch – I fall!
Face down I cry, for how long I know not
Then I hear them, those demons of darkness
As they slowly move in on me
Laughing – taunting
With tear stained eyes I look to see
If those hands had abandoned me
Still no face can I see
Only those hands reaching out to me
I run – I stumble – I fall
Into the embracing warmth
Of those nailed scared hands
That were still reaching out to me!
